The Signature Mercantile welcomes artisans, makers, crafters, boutique owners, small businesses, and creators offering quality products. Every application is carefully reviewed to help maintain a unique and diverse marketplace.
Yes. All prospective vendors must complete a vendor application. Approved applicants will receive instructions for creating their vendor account and storefront.
We strive to create a marketplace that offers customers a wide variety of unique products while minimizing excessive duplication between vendors. Our review process also helps ensure that all products meet our quality standards.
Yes. Vendors select a membership plan that best fits their business. Membership includes your own online storefront and access to the tools needed to manage your shop.
Yes. Applications may be declined if the products are not a good fit for The Signature Mercantile, if a product category is currently full, or if the business does not meet our marketplace standards.
We welcome handmade goods, handcrafted items, artwork, home décor, candles, soaps, bath and body products, clothing, jewelry, accessories, boutique merchandise, gifts, woodworking, pottery, seasonal décor, and other unique products that align with our marketplace.
No. While handmade products are encouraged, we also welcome carefully selected boutique merchandise and specialty retail items that fit the style and mission of The Signature Mercantile.
Yes. Boutique and retail products are permitted as long as they meet our marketplace standards and are legally obtained for resale.
At this time, The Signature Mercantile focuses on physical products only.
There is no limit at this time of the number of products you can list.
Payments are processed securely through our payment system. Funds are deposited directly into your connected payment account according to the payment processor's payout schedule.
Customers can pay securely using major credit and debit cards along with other payment methods offered during checkout.
No, at this time there are no commissions charged.
Each vendor is responsible for packing and shipping their own orders directly to customers.
Yes. Vendors may create their own shipping rates and shipping methods for their products.
Yes. Vendors are responsible for working with the shipping carrier and the customer to resolve shipping issues.
Each vendor is responsible for handling returns, exchanges, and customer service according to the policies displayed in their storefront.
Yes. Every vendor should have a clearly written return and exchange policy available for customers before they make a purchase.
We'll help direct the customer to your shop whenever appropriate and may assist in resolving disputes if necessary.
Yes. Every approved vendor receives their own customizable storefront where customers can browse your products, learn about your business, and make purchases.
Absolutely. You can upload your logo, banner image, business description, shop policies, social media links, and more.
Yes. You can add, edit, or remove products at any time through your vendor dashboard.
Yes. You may cancel your membership at any time. Your storefront and premium vendor features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
Membership fees are generally non-refundable. Please review the membership benefits before purchasing a plan.
If your membership is not renewed, your storefront may become inactive and your products may no longer be available for purchase until your membership is restored.
Yes. The Signature Mercantile prohibits the sale of illegal, counterfeit, unsafe, offensive, or otherwise prohibited products. Additional product restrictions are outlined in our Vendor Agreement.
No. You may use your registered business name or the brand name customers recognize.
Yes! We encourage vendors to include links to their website and social media accounts so customers can learn more about their business.
No. While The Signature Mercantile is proudly based in Tennessee, we welcome approved vendors from across the United States.
